Wayne's early years
Wayne has got some very early memories of music when growing up. His dad was a lead singer for some big Nottingham bands like Infant, Highly Likely, Paper Lace and Clockwork Toys.
He has always wanted to play music and at the age of 12 started to learn the guitar. He has never had a lesson and is completely all self taught!! At 18 years old Wayne's first band was The Catwalk were he played guitar and vocals. They played all original music and had an album deal in 1989. He then went on to join show bands and rock bands Faith and Wambamand Naked, touring the world for many years, generally perfecting his craft and gaining experience!!
Wayne got into TV and films along the way, with acting and walk on work for Central and the BBC appearing on programs like The Upper Hand, Kinzee, Peak Practise and Woff and Merry Hill Millionaire. He also worked for a glamour agency New Image for a year as a photographer.
He then joined a show band called Dr Love and the Disco Divas and with the help of their appearance on the BBCs Children in Need, enjoyed a nationwide tour supporting among others Tony Hadley, The Drifters, Mongo Jerry and Lolo as well as being the guitar technician for Jerry and the Pacemakers

Having always enjoyed writing his own music in 1989 he decided to form Kinky Cop who have released 2 albums. Kinky Cop have appeared on ITV's Young, Gifted and Broke and toured the country with great success supporting bands like Dr and the Medics and Slade. They even built up a local fan base known as the "kinky Family" Wayne has also worked with Dave Cross from King Crimson and the Giant Killers with dep work.

Its at this time Wayne took some time out from touring, to do a 2 year teaching course and ended working in many schools in the Nottingham area with guitar/bass and vocal teaching with students and music workshops and its at this point Wayne's Guitar Shack was born!!!
Still gigging hard Wayne joined super group the Ex-men made up with some of the hottest musicians in the country. they appeared at Nottingham's Rock City and launched a great tour!!
